What this is. Coteau publishes rules-based stock models, tracked portfolios and research notes for curious individual investors.

Not advice. Everything here is hypothetical research and education. It is not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and it doesn't consider your situation. Do your own research.

Backtests. Backtested results are hypothetical, count a stock only after it joined the index (companies later acquired or delisted are still missing, so some survivorship bias remains), include 10 bps per side trading costs but no taxes or slippage beyond that, and do not predict future results.

Data. Prices, fundamentals, earnings and news from Yahoo Finance via the open-source yfinance library (delayed, may contain errors). Insider trades, 13F holdings and reported financials from SEC EDGAR. Index membership from Wikipedia. Research notes are drafted with AI from real data and reviewed before publishing.
