Each model signal gets a SHA-256 fingerprint the moment it is produced. The fingerprint is chained to the one before it and sent to OpenTimestamps, a free public timestamp record. Change one weight and the fingerprint no longer matches.

1. Download the signal text (or copy it exactly). It lists the model, the signal date, when it was frozen, every holding and weight, and the previous signal's fingerprint ("prev").
2. Hash it on your own computer. Mac or Linux: shasum -a 256 signal.txt. Windows: certutil -hashfile signal.txt SHA256. The result should equal the fingerprint shown.
3. Each text includes the previous fingerprint, so changing an old signal would break every later one. The raw data has every signal for a full chain check.
4. For the time: drop the signal file and its .ots proof on opentimestamps.org, or run ots verify signal.txt.ots with the open-source client. Once the calendar's entry is in a Bitcoin block (usually within a few hours), it shows the time the fingerprint existed by. Coteau can't change that record.
