How this works & disclosures

The fund list is picked by Coteau from US-listed ETFs registered with the SEC; leveraged and inverse funds are left out, and being on the list isn’t a view on the fund. Holdings are from each fund’s latest public Form N-PORT on SEC EDGAR (as-of dates in the table) and change over time; funds launched in the last few months may not have filed one yet.

Overlap by weight adds up, for every holding both funds own, the smaller of its two weights. Sub-themes are assigned by Coteau from each company’s main line of business; anything not assigned is in Other, and bars leave out cash. Expense ratios come from each fund’s prospectus (Form 485BPOS) fee table on SEC EDGAR; a dash means it wasn’t machine-readable there.

Data from SEC Form N-PORT, the holdings report funds file with the SEC each quarter; the SEC makes it public about 60 days after the quarter ends. Holdings change; this may be out of date.
